Pushing Paint is the solo Exhibition of local artist Robert Huffman. Opening Reception is Thursday May 13th from 6-8pm
Robert Huffman was born in Belleville, Ontario in 1951, and grew up on a farm north of town in Thurlow Township. He started painting in oils at an early age, featuring landscapes of his rural surroundings. After attending the Ontario College of Art in Toronto, he pursued a career in graphic art, while continuing to paint and exhibit in Toronto and Belleville. Robert has been a full time artist since 1981, working in oils, watercolours, print-making and stained glass. He has exhibited extensively in galleries and juried shows, and has undertaken private and public commissions. Robert now resides with his wife and daughter in the Thurlow countryside. His chosen painting area ranges from Ottawa Valley to Georgian Bay with an emphasis on Algonquin Park. |
