Coming up in March at Gallery ArtPlus is an exhibit dedicated to the figure. For centuries artists have carved, drawn, painted and sculpted the human figure in all its anguish and happiness as way of examining the human condition. As generations have passed, contemporary art has continually strived to reinterpret the figure through new mediums and perspectives. With a wealth of history to draw on, Gallery ArtPlus has curated an exhibit inspired by the human figure and its influences on both historical and contemporary art.
"Go Figure! Featuring the Human Form in Art" examines the human figure through self reflection, portraiture, life drawing studies and the influences of music. Join us for the opening reception on Thursday, March 10 from 6-8pm as we welcome our four featured artists, Eduarda Sousa, Marie Timbers, Jason Kozlowski & Elizabeth Dinkle.
