With the end of Brian Lorimer's CITY2SUNRISE: A Journey Through Asia & Jim Christy's Stayin' Up All Night we welcome our upcoming exhibition Summersault. All are welcome to join us for the opening reception Thursday August 26th from 6:00pm - 8:00pm. Summersault will feature the work of 5 local and Toronto based artists, showcasing the works of Anne Ireland, Allison Knudsen, Christa Markstahler-Flynn and a ceramic installation by Toronto based artists Michelle Mendlowitz and Robin Tieu. Celebrate the end of summer at Gallery ArtPlus and take in fantastic abstracts, mixed media work and ceramic arts - Now, who wouldn't love that?!

CITY2SUNRISE: A Journey Through Asia was a great success. The big event of the evening was the raffle draw for "Checking the Line" by Brian Lorimer. There were many disappointed faces when the winner was announced Thursday night but knowing all the proceeds were to benifit the children of Sunrise took a bit of the disappointment away. Brian Lorimer and Margaret Melville put together a fantastic soft and hard cover book summarizing their journey through Asia which was a favorite amongst many at the opening. The book highlights the children of Sunrise through Brian's photography and paintings. Brian Lorimer's solo exhibit continues until August 14.
